Is it too soon for Christmas decorations?

Marc and I had our very first taste of daylight savings time change on the first. Arizona is one of the few (and smarter) states that doesn’t do daylight savings so we have been blissfully ignorant of springing forward and falling back. And if you ask people, no one can give a good reason as to why we still do it. But I got an “extra” hour in my Sunday, so we are not really complaining.

I’ve been going to a High Fitness class at the park down the street, so we spend most mornings playing there.

Pictured above: all my kids avoiding their afternoon naps and squishing on my bed. I secretly love having them all on my bed.

We invited Teddy and Calvin over for dinner one night so their parents could celebrate finishing another quarter of law school. Five kids under five is pretty busy.

We got some happy mail from papa on a cold afternoon.
And then played in our T-shirts and shorts on a different afternoon.

Friday night we had a date night planned, but the Valenzuela’s got exposed to COVID and Leo woke up with a fever so we had a to cancel having Bella over to watch the kids. So we rolled with the punches, picked up burgers, and watched the live action Beauty and the Beast as a family. And then we cuddled and watched the new Mandalorian.

The girls asked to get to go on a date with their dad this weekend. So the girls got all dressed and even got some lip stick on to go on their date. That made Levi my date and we hit the pre-Christmas sales at Hobby Lobby and Target.

Marc and I decided to just go for it and put the new decorations up instead of just stashing them away and pulling them out again in two week. The girls screamed with delight when they woke up the next morning to all the holly jolly, “CHRISTMAS!!!!! It’s Christmas at our house!”
