We had our first Texas with church at home. It was short and sweet like most weeks and we played, colored, and napped hard. By late afternoon, when we typically would go visit some family but with no family to go visit, we were getting pretty held up in the four walls of the family room. So we took a walk and played a little catch in the shade.

Monday we went and explored the Mammoth National Park. It was fun to just get outside together. The girls were pretty sure that the woods were enchanted like in Frozen 2.

Tuesday was a double pool day. And we were happy to be in the water because our apartment pool is closed on Mondays.

Marc had his first day at the clinic, and he loved it!

Friday, Hamilton the Musical came out on DisneyPlus. Affectionally know at our house as Hamilton Day. We made Aaron Burr-itos for dinner. And had the Scholos over. Getting together with a new couple is a lot like a first date… potentially awkward, conversation can be hard to carry, and you might not like the same kinds of food. Luckily none of those were a problem, and we had a really good time all together. And so did our kids. Win win. We have friends! We have friends in Texas.
Friday we celebrated Independence Day! I love America so much! I feel so incredibly blessed to live in such a fantastic country, though not perfect, it really is a home run and has room and flexibility to continue to improve, change, and grow as the nation does. Plus I love the excuse to eat flag colored foods.

We swam, ate watermelon, grilled a whole lot of veggies, ate an Americana fruit pizza, and swam more.
