Texas week 2

Our new bishop invited us to have church with his family at their home. They live on the outskirts of town on a big ole’ piece of property and all the farm animals my girls could want to see.

I’m not sure why the sky seems so much bigger here, but it’s like we have never seen the sky before. And I can stare at it all day. “I stand all amazed…”

Monday was our Hazel Dahl’s actual birthday. As of late, Ruby and Hazel, like clock work, show up in my room at 6:30am. I was thrilled to see my birthday baby and asked her what she wanted for her special birthday breakfast? “I want avocado in a bowl with candles and you sing Happy Birthday.” Yeah. We can make that wish happen.

Marc and I made great plans to take everyone to the zoo… but the rain that brought the serious thunder and lightning changed our plans. Hazel was delighted and more than content that she got to be home and just watch Mulan.

We did make it to the zoo later in the week

One thing we are learning about since moving to Texas is – humidity. There is nothing like finishing a work out on the cool AC to walk outside and WAM get smacked on the face with 60% humidity. I feel ya Texas.
