We counted down the days for the week of Thanksgiving (and told anyone who asked) my sister is coming to town!! Jo, Ty, and their kids flew in for a Texas filled Thanksgiving. They spent the first half of the week with us at an Airbnb in downtown Waco and the second half of the week in Dallas with the Reeders.

We did all the Waco things- went to Magnolia, ate ourselves silly, and went beautiful house gawking.

Tuesday night we got a babysitter and went out just us parents. I think we tried something from every restaurant in Union Hall- ramen and egg rolls, guacamole and chips, hamburgers, chicken and waffles, and then more dessert waffles. We moseyed down Downtown and showed off it’s cute charm and spent a good amount of time, in our favorite gem, Fabled Bookshop. It was just a great time to chat without our small people popping up every two seconds. (Love them, but mama needs a break).

We meant to stay up and play Settlers of Catan, but we ended up just talking swinging on the front porch every night.
Wednesday morning we even squeezed in a High Fitness class. Photo feed- Jones Pace.

On the big Turkey Day itself we met the Pace’s at the Reeder’s and had the best Thanksgiving ever! It was a calm, relaxing, grazing on goodness, and chatty day. And the three little girls spent the entire afternoon outside on the mini zip line. The kids all played well and we made and ate food all day. The Reeders are two years ahead of us on the dental life plan, and their beautiful Magnolia styled home left me full of hope and excited for the upcoming next chapter of “making real money” for our family. I told Marc on the way home, “look they are totally making it work, we can do that too!” It’s was just really nice to see in real life, the light at the end of the long hall of dental school.

I am so grateful for my little family of five.
I am grateful for this heathy body. Im not always the kindest to it but it works so hard every day- it carries me, helped me carry three babies, let’s me build towers and give piggy back rides, I can kneel and pray, and hold hands with the man I love. I’m also grateful for antidepressants that help this body of mine function better everyday. #GiveThanks
