Week 5 Quarantine

Sunday was Easter! I really enjoyed having church at home, and our small Jesus celebration.

We had Easter dinner with my family, and it was delicious!

This is the beautiful brownie trifle I made – fudge brownies, homemade caramel sauce, chocolate mousse, strawberries, and fresh whipped cream. It’s real good. Marc said,” Only the best for Jesus on Easter because the resurrection is so sweet.”
Papa Tucker did the beautiful flower arrangement.
The girls Easter dresses are from Alisa’s wedding in December. But the girls got sick and didn’t get a chance to wear them then. So thanks Alisa for picking fantastic winter wedding colors that also make the prettiest dresses for Spring.
This boy thinks he is so funny and tries to pull out all the wipes any chance he can get.
Hazel wanted to “do my hair” with her glow stick. She kept telling me,”Mom, your hair just looks so beautiful!”
I don’t know why this boy thinks he is SO big and that he can just crawl up on stuff whenever he wants…
“Look Mom, one hand.”
For Family Home Evening, we had a lesson about King Benjamin, one of my favorites from The Book of Mormon. And he gives his sermon from a tower so all his people could hear, so we did the same with bowls of kettle corn.
The girls convinced Marc to take them swimming. He kept telling me this would be super short lived and they would be back inside in no time. Thirty minutes later, the girls reluctantly came in to take a warm shower despite their chattering teeth.
This is easily my favorite photo from the week!! Hazel doing her thing, blowing bubbles.
The Denton’s hung up their slack line, so we all took a stab at it. You know, just working on our quarantine skills.
And Levi sat happily in the shade with a sea of goldfish to munch on while we tried our best at balancing.
This is a typical morning: me trying to finish my workout before everyone is awake (never happens) and my kids play doctor and busily perform life saving surgery while I finish my cool down.
We spent the morning at Jo’s and this cute guy got his hair cut again. Levi es muy guapo!
One night this week, I was making dinner at home when my mom called. She was making dinner at her house. She said she was making chili and cornbread. I told her that sounded much better than what I was making and asked if we could have dinner at her house? “If you want.” So we had a dinner party at Grammy’s!

We played on the backyard and Ruby asked if I would take her photo. So here is a series of action shots of Ruby that just make my heart happy.
The grand finale!
This week I asked Ruby what she wants to be when she grows up, “a big girl!”
Friday was irrigation day at our house. (Or Moana water as my girls like to call it. Because it looks like the ocean in our backyard) We played out on it all morning.
Isn’t our backyard so dreamy?
Eve pulling Hazel on the skim board
Hyrum pulling Ruby on the skim board
Hazel cracks me up. This is the only way she likes to get her hair wet.
Ruby played mermaid like this in the water for sometime, completely content on her own
Saturday we washed Nacho. The girls LOVE washing the car with Marc. They always cheer and race to get their suits on.
Saturday afternoon, Levi and I were convinced to make it out to the pool with the rest of the family, though we did not venture into the freezing water
“SO COLD”
Brad’s flowers arches are just gorgeous and needed to be documented.

Marc finished his very last paper for dental school this week! It is so crazy to think about how we are sooooo close to being done with school. We have never not been in school for the seven years we have been married. I am so proud of all the hard work, skills, and hours (and years) he has dedicated to become a dentist. I know our little family has always been his driving force and motivation. During his first week of dental school he had a class where a professor advised them that “dental school was not the time to start a family.” Ummhmm…. I don’t think Marc would have done nearly so well without all our babies. We are the constant reminder of his “why” to work so hard, so we can all have an amazing future together and he wants to be the provider that helps make our dreams possible. We are so lucky to have him.
