I just love this girl so much! FOUR! Somehow my little miss Mack is four. She is like a fairy that can only feel one emotion at a time, but feels them all so strongly there is no way she could ever hold it in. She is the best person to tell exciting new to or open a present with. (aka the ultimate cheerleader). No one can make Levi laugh as hard as Ruby. They are special kindred spirits and instantly connected. He has a special smile just for her. Ruby loves learning new things. On the weekend Marc took Ruby and Hazel for a walk around the neighborhood and taught them about morning dew and why the grass is wet in the morning. Ruby thought it was so cool she had to “reteach” it all to Hazel before they got home. Ruby loves helping in the kitchen- mixing, measuring, or dumping anything and will use any excuse to play in a soapy filled sink. Ruby loves to sit close and snuggle. She loves picking out a story to read and will sit and listen for as long as someone is willing to read. I love tucking her into bed and she says, “I love you mom.” She is terrified of bugs, in all their varieties. But loves most animals. When she really stops to say family prayer it is amazing the things that come out of her mouth.

Sometimes she is a challenge because she is curly haired and strong willed like me and its like trying to reason with a younger, painful person of myself. But I try to remember to use that as a blessing and benefit and try to get down on her level and see it from her perspective.

My life has so much much more meaning and joy having her in my life. She is my baby that made me a mama and I will forever be grateful for her.
