Grateful!

We are just so blessed!

I have a tendency of letting the holiday season stress me out. So one of my goals this year was to enjoy them more.

To kick off the holiday weekend we surprised the girls to go see Frozen 2! Ruby and Hazel had never been to the movie theater before so it was pretty exciting. I didn’t tell the girls what or where we were going we just got them dressed in their Elsa dresses and were told “we were going on an adventure”.

The cold did bother them anyways….

Marc was going to come but had a last minute school thing that came up so he hugged his princesses before heading out the door.

And Papa came in his place. He might have been more thrilled than the girls.

The three of us ended up in between two chairs and snuggled in close.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the hair on my kids

We had a Thanksgiving Playgroup and we had a great time! We made mini rolls and ran around like crazy toddlers, read a few stories about gratitude, ate some Thanksgiving snacks, and made a Thanksgiving turkey with gratitude feathers.

Then on the big day it’s self, we had a family filled day. But one of my favorite parts of the day was a quiet time all by myself. Marc took Ruby and Hazel to run off some energy, Levi was sleeping, my Thanksgiving sides were baking, and I took a few minutes by myself to kneel down in my family room and I listed off my blessings. I have such a good, blessed life. Among so many, I easily listed my biggest blessings, the ones I get to hold everyday- Levi, my baby who took a year and half to get here; Hazel, who brings me so much joy; Ruby, my baby who made me a mother; and Marc, who has my heart and is kind, brilliant, handsome, and silly. And I need all of those parts in my life.
