The little things

Since we got over the sickness that would never end, we have been starting our mornings with a kick start of nutrition. (Take that common cold!! πŸ‘ŠπŸ») I juice a beet, several carrots, 2 apples, a chunk of fresh ginger, and a lemon. Then I move it to the blender that has a banana, a cup of frozen cherries, a cup of frozen wild blueberries, and a handful or two of spinach. Then blend till smooth. It’s a vibrant crimson color, thanks beets.

Hazel is always willing and asks to try anything that is juiced or smoothied. Ruby not so much. Especially when it tastes too healthy. And this tastes pretty healthy. But after a week of this new morning routine the girls both ask for a glass of juice.

Hazel looks like a hungry vampire in this one ☝️

So I had to document my winning parent moment. (For the days I was afraid they would only eat carbs covered in cheese. We did it!)

β€œLook Mom, I’m a robot!” – any box automatically makes you a robot, so I’ve learned.

And then later this morning the kids just had a ton of fun playing in the large cardboard box in the family room (thank you Amazon).

Hazel is a serious blanket sniffer.

And then Ruby had to get in on the action.I admit I have almost thrown this box away a half dozen times, but they have finally started to grasp the magic of the box. It has been a castle, a spaceship, a boat, a treasure chest, and a secret hideout.

And if two is a crowd, three is a party!

Levi went down for a nap and so the girls got their nails painted. Ooh la la!

For lunch we had taquito taco salad with that tasty tasty Trader Joe’s cilantro ranch dressing. Both the girls licked their plates. Everyone went down nicely till Levi woke up. He was having a hard time, but eventually I coaxed him back into a sleepy submission and we all napped.
