Baby it’s cooler-ish outside

Last week was gorgeous! Like in the 70’s and 80’s (amazing compared to the 110 we are use to). So you better believe we spent most of the week outside. It has been SO hot that I forgot what it was like to just be able to let the girls play outside.

It even rained and the girls were thrilled! They learned that if you pull on a branch of a tree after it rains that you will get “rained on” again.

The puddle playing eventually turned to a mud fight. And after they were sufficiently dirty they were ready to come back inside for a glow stick shower party.

I asked Ruby how Hazel got such a big wad of mud on the middle of her back. Ruby said “I don’t know?!”. Mmhmm.

After we were all clean and dry again the girls insisted we all play in their room. So I fed Levi on Ruby’s bed while Ruby was the teacher and had to tell us things.

I tried my best to take notes during the lesson. “We have to save our friends! That’s why we will need swords, shields, and a LOT of costumes…And we can fight them and with swords and tickles…The bad guys are not very nice so we need to die them!” (This is where I insert that we don’t kill people.) “who wants to be the leader?” Hazel, “Me!” Ruby, “I want to be the leader. How about we both be leaders… Quick everyone put on your powers. I have Elsa powers and Frozen powers.” Hazel, “I have Ana powers”
