A perfect rainy day with Moana and Elsa

Today was the coldest wettest days of February I can remember. There was even snow all over the valley. And to top of the wet we got irrigation in our backyard so we were literally surrounded by a moat.

Marc was off to a very early morning and big day hosting as the co-chair for Give Kids A Smile at school. He has been planning it with his committee for over a year and this is his 5th year participating. (So proud) today over 500 kids showed up to receive free dental care. (So proud)

The girls and I had the perfect rainy day at home. Vera came over to play this morning so Brittany could run some last minute birthday party errands.

The three play to get her so well. While playing in their room Ruby was showing Vera the irrigation out her window and explained, “see, that’s the ocean!” Vera -“oooh”. Vera brought her sequence unicorn purse, which Ruby adored so she traded Vera for the morning with her sparkle hamburger purse. It seemed like a fair trade.

We played with play dough and listened to Frozen, Moana, and Tangled. Built towers, played with all the stuffed animals, and had some cereal to hold us over till lunch.

After naps the girls and I ended up in my bed for some snuggling and story time

Then we played ring around the Rosie. But only Ruby was aloud to sing the song. She did NOT want me joining in. Hide and go seek has been a real crowd favorite this week. Ruby can almost count to 2 on her own and Hazel likes to throw in numbers when counting to ten, she is particularly found of nine multiple times. The game normally consists of us going back and forth between only hiding around my bed or on or next to Ruby’s bed behind pillows and squealing with delight every time someone is found. They never get sick of it.

When Marc got home to celebrate we went to desert book to pick up a few things and Cafe Rio for dinner. The drive over was amazing!!

The sky was amazing. There was snow on the mountains and a DOUBLE full rainbow!

Before Ruby fell asleep and we were looking at the snowy mountains she got all excited and told us how “Elsa brought the snow to the mountains!!”

The Superstitions mountains were covered!

We jumped in puddles, came home took showers, played a few more rounds of hide and go seek, read 2 stories, and said prayers. #blessed

Then marc helped me plan out the menu for next week and I ran to 3 stores and got all our grocers for $22! Winning I’m winning at life. Then it was too late for a whole movie so Marc and I watched an episode of the Great British Bake-off.
