A happy Tuesday

Tuesday we went to the free community day at the Desert Botanical Gardens with Jayden, Mikey and Shelly.

The kids were really good! And Shelly and I would read the name plaques of the different cactus and agave plants and the kids would try to say them back to us.

We ate our picnic lunches and played in the rest spots that weren’t so close to cactus #pokey. It was a perfect morning outing. and the kids played so hard they left the park tired and ready to sleep hard.

For afternoon and naps we went to Grammy Sha Sha’s to sleep and then I did some technical work on their blanket website.

When we got home it was time to make dinner so I let the girls just play in the backyard. They were doing good till Hazel got her self stuck half way up the ladder to the slide and was yelling for help. I sprinted the whole way through the yard and across the lawn to get to her.

Hazel then had to stay inside. Ruby felt quite old and awesome to get to stay outside but soon the two were pushing the front door back and forth, which was all fun and games until Ruby screamed and blood was all over her foot and quickly spreading on the ground.

I was tryin to keep my cool, not burn my dinner, get Ruby cleaned up and calmed down but it took a good several minutes to stop her big toe from bleeding and I may have started to freak out just a little. Marc was mid driving home and I even called him on speaker (though there was nothing he could do at that point).

The blood eventually slowed, I was able to get a bandaid on her, and pull out the playdough so I could finish dinner and keep her happy before Marc was home. Then Ruby had the poopiest diaper of her life- serious blow out and and got poop all over her pants and shirt, right as Marc walked in the door. Good grief.

But with in 10 min everyone was back to normal, cleaned diapers, and happy girls, eating my new dinner #firsttime of sausage and lentil stew. #supergood #keeper and everyone ate it like a bunch of champs. Ruby kept telling me “mom, this is delicious!” “Mom, you did a really good job.” “Mom, this is so yummy” I felt like a winner.

So some highs and low but ended on a really good note. I just really love my girls and being their mom. And Marc, I really love him too.
