Happy birthday Ruby

I can’t believe my Ruby Mack is 3πŸŽ‰

The girls woke up early at 6:30, which gave me extra time with them before I had to go to work.

We started the morning with a small dance party with the three of us girls dancing to some of Ruby’s favorite songs from Trolls Holiday and Hand Clap by Fitz and Tantrums.

Marc made her an awesome birthday sign with a unicorn and Olaf the snowman from Frozen, so Ruby insisted that Marc find a unicorn song and Olaf’s song so they would match her poster.

On your birthday you can be as extra as you want. So Ruby made put together her outfit compete with princess boots, unicorn socks, a tutu, birthday t-shirt, a fur vest, and a poppy paper crown. Pretty fantastic.

When we were going to the car Ruby couldn’t have been happier that it was a drizzly morning and everything was wet. She eagerly asked if it was going to rain more for her birthday.

Grammy Sha Sha and Papa got Ruby s real Belle dress and shoes and princess cereal. Ella came over for a mini princess cereal birthday breakfast party, complete with more dancing.

Haze took a nasty spill at Grammy’s house and hit her head real bad on the kitchen bench. She should get a nice shiner.

When we got home after I was done with work, I was having a real pregnancy emotional moment #crying and Ruby is so sweet and brought me my purple blanket, her baby Barbie doll, and gave me a hug. Though she is a lot of sass she is a sweet girl.

Marc had a nasty queasy stomach on top of my mother’s symptoms so we called off the small candles and cakes party we had planned with family and Shelby and Michelle.

We had cake with just the four of us. And do you know what? It was perfect.

Ruby loved it! She insisted we light the candles twice and sing again. Why not? It’s her birthday.

She loved the frosting (she calls it “frosty the snow man”) and preferred to eat it by the spoonful.
