Thursday’s are one of my favorite days of the week, because it is the start of my weekend being home with my girls.
This morning we were playing inside when I spotted Gypsy though the window strolling around the pool. She is the Denton’s tortoise and Ruby only has all the heart eyes for Gypsy.

We like to feed her greenery around the yard. Ruby has been looking for her everyday for about a week, so today was a big deal for my little two year old.

I’m pretty sure this is how Ruby felt about it. the feeling was mutual for Gypsy.
As I was doing Ruby’s hair today, (we always sing the song from tangled when we brush her hair, “brush, and brush, and brush, and brush my hair. Doing the same things I’ve always been…) she had some tangles, so I let her know she had a few tangles that I was working on. Ruby paused for a moment then shouted “tangles, get out of my hair!” Very mater of fact.
Hazel very much so loves to do what ever Ruby is doing. If Ruby is reading a story, Hazel needs to be reading a story. Hazel currently is loving on our piggy stuffed animal and try’s to say “pa pa pa.” She just beams and holds it tight with pure delight.
Tonight I made Brazilian black beans and rice. Hazel loves her best life when I make it for dinner.

This is Ruby from yesterday. Reading her story but also singing along to one of her favorites. She cracks me up
