Starting summer right

Today was just the best.

This morning we went to Sam’s Club, because I foolishly bought Pampers diapers because they were on sale and they are the WORST and don’t hold any pee and blow outs and disintegrating and.. you get the point. But they took back my diapers I brought in white garbage bags even though I already had recycled the boxes and we got Huggies and wipes, that were all on sale, for the same price. Baby bootys are expensive.

Early morning Sams is the best because they give out their baked goods. So the girls and I shared a huge banana muffin in our cart in the shade. And everyone was happy and happy to share. I wanted to bottle up our little moment- two girls in the cart, happy to just be with their mom and a muffin.

Back home we played and then during naps I layed out by the pool (like 8 min exactly on each side. I set a timer. Pasty white girls have to be careful or they become burnt girls. Not cool Robert Frost) then I read my scripture and my new awesome book Christlike Parenting (Mother’s Day gift from Marc, he’s the best). It is the only parenting book I own, but it came recommended by Heidi Brubaker (mother of 5 kids at 27) so I knew it had to be good.

Marc came home early from school (!!!) and when the girls woke up he had us all get our swim suits on for a surprise family water outing – Bobas and the splash pad!

Family’s that boba together stay together

I was trying to be sneaky so Ruby would see me recording her and stop singing. Ps, do you see my cute turquoise ring Marc bought me for my birthday? I just love it!

Then Jon and Maddi treated us to Les Mis!! It was amazing! But the best part was during intermission, they told us they are pregnant!! I was totally screamed, and people stared. And I was embarrassed for about half a second, but then I didn’t care because I was jumping up and down and hugging them. And then was terribly distracted through the whole second half. Ah, I’m so excited for them. They are going to be such fantastic parents.
