Ruby’s best day ever

My Ruby girl is so much fun, and Saturday was her best day ever.

Marc went and got her when she woke up and she ran to my room to see me. She squealed as she jumped up on my bed and gave me a big squeeze. Marc asked her if she wanted pancakes (her most favorite food, other than avocados) she responded with classic Ruby fashion, “umm….. yeah!”

After a hearty stack of pancakes and dip we jumped on the tramp and she worked on mastering climbing the ladder to go down the slide by herself.

Then we got dressed to go to Costco because we were out of apple squeezes (shudder the thought. Our lives RUN on apple squeezes) so I was getting Ruby dressed in her little overall shorts and she said, “I want minions!” After a minute Marc and I figured out, she calls her overalls minions like they wear in disposable me. Smart girl. Then she was thrilled in her overalls with pockets, where she insists she carries a tissue.

On the freeway, there was a bright yellow semi truck driving next to us and Ruby got all excited and shouted, “train!!! Choo choo!” And marc raced, to keep up next to it so we could choo choo down the road. Marc does an awesome train whistle. Then we happened to take the same exit as the semi and he noticed our excitement and honked his horn for us. Talk about a happy toddler, and parents.

At Costco Ruby got all the samples. Hazel, like always, is just thrilled to be sitting in the cart with her sister.

Lastly, we went to Ridge Cozzen’s birthday party, with a pony to ride and balloon animals. Ruby would not stop talking about the pony all afternoon, but when we got to the party she just bawled and wouldn’t go near it. luckily a ballon puppy and sword helped along with a big plate of guacamole and chips. Hazel, on the other hand was quite happy sitting on the pony.
