Monday – I had work so Marc and the girls all to him self for most of the day. Then for Family Home Evening we went and visited Sonja and LuAnne. Since Lou passed away earlier this month we have been trying to stop by regularly. Then after the sun went down for Ruby girl we drove all packed in the car and took a drive down the B-line Highway last the city glow to see the stars. Ruby LOVES the moon and starts. She was in awe as Marc held her and pointed out the different constellations to her- the Big and Little Dippers, the North Star, the Seven Sisters, Orion’s Belt, and others. There is a magic that comes from watching your babies experience your favorite things for the first time. The hush of the silent night, the dancing winking stars, and the peace and hope that they paint the sky with. On Sunday, we sang I Stand All Amazed, and I got all choked up at the line that reads, “I see the stars I hear the rolling thunder…” I just thought of my Ruby girl, and how I a, so grateful to be her mom and I had just a small glimpse of how our Heavenly Father must feel about us.
Tuesday– we coerced Abby, against her sleepy will, to come with us to Urban Jungle.
it totally delivered and we had a fantastic time running around their giant indoor jungle gym, slides, and trampolines.
ruby just adores abby. We had Shima over for a cheeses pizza and Moana dinner party. She had never seen Moana before (we didn’t know that was even possible). Marc went to his very first ADF (Arizona Dental Foundation) meeting as a voting board meme we. He was a little nervous but dressed all spiffed up in his favorite buttoned up striped shirt.
At our in house, girl, movie party Ruby told Shima all about Maui, the ocean, and the heart while we watched. Not to mention the sing-a-long performance and dancing. Isn’t that how everyone watches the movie? And Shima told us how her family celebrates the Muslim New Years.
Wednesday – I had work and mark went with the girls to Costco to pick up his new glasses

Then they picked me up and we went to Wild Flower for dinner. It was one of the first time that we have really gone to a restaurant with the 4 of us. I’d give us a solid A. Then we went to my Mom’s and watched the Greatest Showman. We have been listening to the music for it for months now but Ruby had no idea it was a show. She watched the whole thing jaw dropped and staring, and then excitedly chiming in when her favorite songs came on.Easily her new favorite movie. But not a huge surprise because her other favorites are Moana and Funny Girl with Barbra Streisand.
Thursday we drove to Our of Africa. The girls slept most of the way and Marc and listened to the Alchemist and we weaved through north Scottsdale traffic. Marc was a little nervous because it was the first of any Brandon Sanderson I have listened to. But it was pretty good.
Animal wise, the park did not disappoint.
Marc feeding the giraffe WITH HIS MOUTH
Me feeding the giraffe with my MOUTH
Marc and Ruby watching the white tiger as it majestically paces too and fro. But let’s take a minute to admire Ruby’s curls on the back of her head. So good!

Me- “what do the lions say?”
Ruby, “rawwwww”
(Lion stares from maybe 20 feet away)
And the after yoga and the girls were in bed I schooled Marc, my dad, and Tyler in Settlers. Mic drop.
Friday– this is Ruby living her best life having THREE avocados for lunch
We tried swimming (still Cold). And we had Marc’s birthday cake today
If you live in a house full of girls you sometimes get pink candles on your cake. We sure love our main man! Twenty seven looks good on you!
marc and I went on a full-blown-get-a-babysitter date (we love Shelby Park). We went to PF Chang’s, walked Mill, and got some things at Buffalo Exchange.
Saturday- Happy birthday Marc!! marc was at Team Smiles from 6:15-1.(adult life) So the girls and I played at home and did the naps, tramp, stories, and kitchen dancing thing.
Then we went to the Riparian Preserve

We saw baby bunnies!!! Though Ruby was pretty disappointed that she couldn’t hold them. (Those baby overalls kill me💛)
We wrapped up the week with birthday dinner at Joe’s Farm grill and running around the orchard. Best spring break yet!
