Tonight we had the Prince family dinner out at Melissa’s House (she lives out past the Gilbert Temple) and it is about a 30 minute drive home. And it was past the girls bedtime. And Hazel was asleep and Ruby was starting to cry. So to help counter the crying, I started telling her about the songs were listening too on our Jenee Price Sunday CD.
And we got to the song that is Mary singing about baby Jesus in the Easter Pageant and I explained the story to Ruby and how when she was a little baby she got to play baby Jesus in the Easter Pageant, then it was the only song Ruby wanted to listen to on the way home. So the video is Ruby telling Hazel,”Hazel! You want the Baby Jesus song?”
On Friday, after naps I took both the girls by myself down to Mesa Riverview to pick up Marc and mine half marathon T-shirt’s and packets for the Phoenix Marathon. We had signed up to run but it ended up be too much for me to train and nurse Hazel. But Marc and I figured we should at least pick up the shirts we paid for. So it was me with Hazel strapped to my front in the baby carrier, Ruby in our little zebra stroller, and my red diaper bag backpack on maneuvering through the crowds of people at the race pick up. I just felt like everyone was staring at me and my girls. And I sorta felt embarrassed for my little family was toting, which is so silly because I love them with all my heart. Marc was suppose to have a service project that went past dinner so I planned to take the girls to the visit center before heading home. It was so nice the peace that was there and difference it made.
Marc’s event ended up being canceled and it was the perfect day to sit out side and run around in the grass and smell the flowers and just be together as a little family.
