Thursday night was rough (lots o’ pregnant hormones + teething baby = tears and not enough sleep).
Luckily, I know that hard nights end and all days get better when the sun comes up. Que Beatle’s song – “here comes the sun, little darling. Here comes the sun and it’s all right”.
Plus Friday means no work + all day with Ruby girl = best day of the week! (Okay, in done with the word addition. Promise)
I woke up, early, got dressed, put on a pretty face- hair and all, and made plans to get out side today.
We invited Jo and Ty’s family to a picnic dinner at one of our favorite outside spots, the Reparium Preserve. It definetly less jungle gym and more nature than most parks. We like it that way. Plus we get to feed the ducks.
Ruby and Calvin were much more interested in eating the bread than feeding the ducks.

Did I mention there are cotton tail bunnies everywhere? I LOVE the bunnies.
We snapped some pictures, found some quality sticks and rocks, threw said sticks in the water, chased bunnies (Calvin was determined to touch all of them. No such luck), and explored everything.

This blurry photo is one of my favorites. It captures the evening well- 2 strollers, 1 wagon, Ruby chilling in the wagon, jones running around, Ty being a tease/ good Dad, marc and I playing around, and just a little general chaos.

We found the perfect picnic spot off the trail next to the water. The perfect private dinner party.

There is a study that talks about how as people living in big cities it is imperative for our health to get Vitamin N. (n= nature). Going out side is good. Going outside where it is green is better. Going outside where it is green and there is a body of water is better. After a hard night a heavy does of family and Vitamin N is just what this baby mama needed.
