Caroling and spudnuts

My Grandma Adams is from Canada, and apparently learning how to make delicious, mouth watering, homemade spudnuts is a ride of passage in Alberta.

Spudnuts are handmade donuts with a potatoe base and fresh nutmeg seasoning  with a perfect glaze on top. They will knock the socks off any krispe kreme. So I helped Grandma make and cut out more or less 80 little slices of heaven.

While my mom and Grandma fired the spuds, all the cousins climbed onto Scott’s trailer and sang out little hearts out as we drove around Lehi. Ruby loved it, she even sang a verse or two. I love how carling makes it so everyone feels like they can sing out. Its probably because deep down everyone knows, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
